To understand the Testing Process in an Agile Development Methodology, it is important to understand the Agile Development paradigm.
Agile Development paradigm is not very new. Although the Agile Software Development Manifesto came into existence in February 2001, the concepts existed long before that and were expressed in different ways. Spiral Development Methodology is one such example.
Understanding Agile Software Development:
The Agile Software Development primarily focuses on an iterative method of development and delivery.
The developers and end users communicate closely and the software is built. A working piece of software is delivered in a short span of time and based on the feedback more features and capabilities are added.
The focus is on satisfying the customer by delivering working software quickly with minimum features and then improvising on it based on the feedback. The customer is thus closely involved in the Software Design and Development Process.
The delivery timelines are short and the new code is built on the previous one.
Despite this, high quality of the product cannot be comprised.
This creates a different set of challenges for Software Testing.
How is Testing approach different in an Agile Development Scenario?
The Testing Strategy and Approach in Agile Development could be very different from traditional bureaucratic methods. In fact it could vary with project needs and the project team.
In many scenarios, it may make sense to not have a separate testing team.
The above statement should be understood carefully. By not having a testing team we do not consider testing to be any less important. In fact testing can done more effectively in short turn around times, by people who know the system and its objectives very well.
For example in certain teams Business Analysts could be doing a few rounds of testing each time the software version is released. Business Analysts understand the Business Requirements of the Software and test it to verify if it meets the requirements.
Developers may test the software. They tend to understand the system better and can verify the test results in a better way. Testing for AGILE Software Development requires innovative thinking and the right mix of people should be chosen for doing the testing.

>>> నాది మినరల్ వాటర్ అమ్మే వ్యాపారం . దానికి లైసెన్సు కావాలట. అంతర్జాతీయ ప్రమాణాలు ఉండాలట. లైసెన్సు తీసుకోవాలంటే బోలెడు ఖర్చు. ఎప్పుడన్నా అధికారులు వచ్చి పట్టుకుంటే లంచం ఇస్తా , స్వీకరించడానికి ఓ లంచగొండి అధికారి కావాలి.

>>> నేను పాస్ పోర్ట్ కి అప్లై చేసాను. తనిఖీ కి పోలీసోడు వస్తే నేను ఖచ్చితంగా లంచం ఇవ్వాలి. లేక పొతే నేను ఇక్కడ లేనని తన రిపోర్ట్ లో వ్రాసుకుంటాడు. అది అవినీతి అంటే కుదరదు.
>>> మెయిన్ రోడ్ లో కొంత భాగాన్ని ఆక్ర మించుకుని నేను షాప్ పెట్టుకున్నాను. ఇప్పుడు షాప్ బాగా నడుస్తోంది
అధికారులు వచ్చి కూల గొట్ట కుండా ఉండాలంటే లంచం ఇవ్వాలి.
నా తప్పులని ఒప్పులుగా చేసుకోవడానికి ఓ సులువైన మార్గం "లంచం"
నాకు పొద్దున్న లేచినది మొదలు లంచగొండి అధికారులు కావాలి. వారికి లంచం ఇవ్వాలంటే నేను లంచం తీసుకోవాలి.
నాకు 10 ,000 /- లాభం ఉంటె నేను 500 లంచం ఇస్తా,
మరి JP నారాయణ , లోక్ సత్తా పార్టీ పెట్టి అవినీతిని అంతం చేస్తా అంటే నా లాంటి వాళ్ళు ఏమయి పోవాలి. అందుకే నేను లోక్ సత్తా పార్టీ కాదు. అదే కాంగ్రెస్ వాడో తెలుగుదేశం వాడో , ప్రజారాజ్యం వాడో, BJP వాడో అయితే ఓ 500 /- ఇచ్చి ఓటు వేయించు కుంటాడు. మరి JP ఏమి ఇస్తాడు నా బొంద. పైగా ఇలాంటి పార్టీ లు వస్తే అవినీతికి ఆస్కారం ఉండదు.
మరి నాకు డబ్బు ఉంది కాబట్టి లంచం ఇస్తా. మరి డబ్బులు లేని వాడి పరిస్తితి ఏమిటి ? వారికి సకాలం లో పనులు జరుగుతాయా ? అనేది నాకు అనవసరం.
నేను ఇలా లంచం ఇవ్వడానికి తీసుకోవడానికి అలవాటు పడిపోయాను. అవినీతిని అంతం చేస్తా అంటే నాకు వొళ్ళు మండుద్ది.
ఎవడు చేయటం లేదు అవినీతి. ఊరికే రాజకీయ నాయకులని తిట్టుకుని ఏమి లాభం? నేను అవినీతి ని ప్రోస్తాహిస్తున్నాను.
నా లెవెల్లో నేను అవినీతి పనులు చేస్తున్నాను. రాజకీయ నాయకులు వారి లెవెల్లో వారు చేస్తున్నారు.
అవినీతి లేక పొతే నాకు చాలా కష్టం. అవినీతి నా జీవితం లో ఒక భాగం.
అవినీతి ని అంతం చేస్తా అన్న రాజకీయ పార్టీలకు మనుగడ లేదు. కాకపొతే అన్నీ పార్టీలు అవినీతిని అంతం చేస్తాం అంటాయి. నేను నమ్మను. కానీ JP గారు అవినీతిని అంతం చేస్తా అంటే మాత్రం నిజం గా అవినీతి ఉండదేమో అని భయపడ్డాను. అయినా నా పిచ్చి గాని లంచం తీసుకోకుండా ఎవడండీ ఓటు వేసేది?
భారతం లో ధర్మరాజుకి చెడ్డవాడు అనేవాడు ఎవడూ కనిపించలేదట. దుర్యోదనుడికేమో మంచివాడు ఎవడూ కనిపించలేదట.
అలానే నాకు కూడా నీతి పరుడు ఎవరూ కనిపించడం లేదు. ఎవడూ శుద్ధం కాదు అందరూ అవినీతి పరులే వారి వారి లెవెల్లో
ఆఖరుకి రోడ్డుమీద కర్చీఫ్ లు అమ్ముకునే వాడు కూడా నియమాలను ఉల్లంఘన చేసి ట్రాఫిక్ కి అంతరాయం కల్గిస్తూ, పోలీసోడు వస్తే ఓ 10 రూ/- ఇస్తూ వాడి లెవెల్లో వాడు అవినీతి చేసుకుంటున్నాడు.
అందువల్ల నేను చెప్పేదేమిటంటే నాకు అవినీతి కావాలి. అవినీతి అధిరారులు కావాలి. అవినీతి ప్రభుత్వం కావాలి.
అందుకని 2014 లో జరగబోయే ఎన్నికలలో అవినీతి పార్టీ కి లంచం తీసుకుని వోటు వేస్తా !!

అవినీతి ప్రభుత్వం ఉంటె నా లాంటి వాడికి పండగే పండగ. ఒక్క పులికి ఆహారం దొరికితే పది నక్కలకి పండగ. అలానే కాంగ్రెస్ అధికారం లోకి వస్తే నా పనులన్నీ సకాలంలో అవుతాయి. ఎక్కడా కూడా పేచీలు ఉండవు. ఒక్కో పనికి పది సార్లు తిరగనవసరం లేదు. డబ్బులు పడెయ్యి తమాషా చూడు అని ఓ హిందీ పాట , కాకపొతే సమయానికి గుర్తుకురావడం లేదు.

MS ఆఫీసు కూడా పైరేటెడ్. దాదాపు చాలావరకూ సాఫ్ట్ వేర్ లు పైరేటెడ్ వి. నేను కొన్న RAM కి బిల్ లేదు . అది VAT నించీ తప్పిచుకుని వచ్చినది. అలా కాకుండా నాకు బిల్లు ఉన్న RAM కావాలంటే నేను బ్రాండెడ్ ది కొనుక్కోవాలి. దాకి కోసం ఖర్చు పెట్టె స్థోమత నాకు లేదు. నాకు కంప్యూటర్ కావాలి అది కూడా తక్కువ ఖర్చు లో కావాలి. అలాంటప్పుడు నాకు దొంగ సరుకు కావాలి. అది అమ్మే వాడు ఉండాలి. ....... నాకు అవినీతి పరుడు కావాలి.
>>> నా ఇంట్లో రెండు పోర్షన్లు ఉన్నాయ్ కాబట్టి రెండు మీటర్లు కావాలి. నేను లంచం ఇవ్వడానికి సిద్దం. లంచం తీసుకునే లంచగొండి అధికారి కావాలి. ....... నాకు అవినీతి పరుడు కావాలి.
>>> నా ఇంటికి మంచి నీళ్ళ పంపు కావాలి. అది కూడా డైరెక్ట్ గా వంటింట్లోకి ఉండాలి. అందులోనూ సాగర్ నీళ్ళు కావాలి. అలా కావాలంటే నాకు ఒక లంచగొండి అధికారి కావాలి
>>> మా ఇంట్లో పెళ్లి పనులున్నాయి. బంధువులు వస్తారు కనుక పవర్ కట్ లేకుండా ఉండాలి ఓ రెండు వందలు తీసుకుని పవర్ కట్ లేకుండా చూడాలి
>>> నేను మా ఇంటికి ఐదో అంతస్తు కట్టు కోవాలి. తద్వారా నెలకు మరో 5000 /- కిరాయిలు సంపాదించు కోవాలి. కానీ ఐదో అంతస్తు కట్టు కోవడానికి రూల్స్ ఒప్పుకోవట. ఎవడికి కావాలి రూల్స్. ఓ 10000 /- తీసుకుని పర్మిషన్ ఇవ్వడానికి ఓ లంచగొండి అధికారి కావాలి.
